My baby's growing up way too fast...

So for Kailyns birthday, we, my sister really, decided to give her surprise party since this was a big year!!! 10!!! The first year of 2 digits!!! WOW!!! It seems like just yesterday my mom and I were swinging her on the swings at Lake Julian, watching her play in the ocean, crawl, walk, talk, potty training just to name a few!!! Time goes by so fast!!! Well, we were really undecided as to what type of party to have. We've done the American Girl party, we've done swimming parties, we've done the Gymnastics party, and we've definately done Chuck E Cheeses a time or two (cough cough) when she was younger. So as she turned 10, we couldn't decide what was too mature, too expensive (Club Libby Lu, which Kailyn has done as well), too immature, or what to do again. We checked into Young Chef's Academy. After asking Kailyn for ideas, and throwing some out there, she decided that was too immature. "That's for babies Mom, come on" was the response, she's getting was too big! FINALLY Amy and I compramised on All Fired Up, and had an absolutely amazing time. 15 of her closest friends (and siblings) enjoyed an afternoon of pizza, painting, and cake. We had so much fun and the other kids as well. So much in fact that the owner almost gave us a discount because in just my party, 2 other parents booked parties for their children. Kailyn, being the shy, quite one that she is I don't think appreciated the "Surprise" of the party but had a great time nonetheless. I made little goodie bags for each of the girls to take home with them after the party and in a week or so, after firing, they should be getting their own "handpainted" piece of pottery. This was by far, the best idea ever!!!! Each child got to pick thier own piece of pottery to paint with a certain $ amount. They had a blast picking them out!! A few of the parents even got in on the paining with the kids.....enjoy all the pics! Next week Ill have pics of the finished product!!

State Champs Baby!!!

Finally, our last road trip for cheer leading competition. After alot of blood, sweat, and tears, these girls "got it done" once again. Their team work and hard work got them all the way to 1st PLACE!! They did awesome. Competing against 4 other teams that were extremely well known, was hard to do, but they did it.

The bus arrived after the 5 hour trip at about 11 pm. Roger and I and Jaime, another mom, got there at 5 and began decorating the rooms for the girls. We had alot of fun but took almost 3 hours. The past week I made each of the girls a goody bag and handmade frames with their pic. I had so much fun. I hope they know just how much support they have from some of the wonderful parents.

(I moved the "State Champions" sign to cover the name under the team pic, just did get the pic of it completed...

And now for my little sports freak...

Kamden! He is going to be the one that is going to keep us going!!! He loves all sports. Kam played baseball last Spring and only lost 2 games. Right now he is playing basketball for the school. He's getting ready to start Soccer which Roger cannot stand. Sometime in the next 2-3 months baseball starts back up and has been begging me to let him play footbal. He's so tiny I'm scared about football. I want him to be involved in whatever he wants. With 3 sisters, he will definately need his boy time. Here are some pics of Basketball!! Might I add that Kam shot and scored a minimum of 2-3 baskets every game.....

Another Cheerleader in the Family~~Go Cardinals

Well, when we're not at Morgans games or comp, we're at Kailyn's games. A little more easy going and not so strict as is OHS. She absolutely loves cheering. Next year, she's going to cheer for the Rockets which is more competitive. Alot of hours and away games and traveling, but she loves it. Here are some pics of sweet sweet Kailyn. She cheers so well and is so absolutely beautiful!

Regional Cheerleading Competition in Durham!!

The very next weekend after New Years, we packed up for the competition in Durham. Boy, was that a long day. had the girls at the school at 5am after picking up boyfriends and getting breakfast. It's a 4.5 hour drive by car, I'm not sure how long it took by bus. The comp was over by 4pm then another 4.5 hours back home. The girls did awesome and placed 1st place.....enjoy the WAR HORSES!!

Family

So this year we had to resort to a "smaller tree". Our livingroom is a little smaller while we wait until our new house is move-in ready;) The two pictures below are proof that we actually have a HUGE Christmas tree. Our LL Bean stockings were all still hung just in a different way since our current rental does not have a fireplace either. Nonetheless, Christmas was still celebrated no matter the address or the size of the tree!!

Dedicated to my dear sister Amy. Believe it or not, this is the only pic I have of you and your husband together!!

Jeromy loving on one of his favorite nieces Sydney. Although she didn't feel the greatest, she was all smiles, most of the night.
